Free Press maintains a database of groups and organizations actively working on one of many of the issues involved in media reform, in the U.S. and internationally.

About our listings

This is a database of groups whose core missions and goals fall within the realm of media reform. Groups which occasionally take a stance on a media policies, such as the FCC ownership rules, but do not normally focus on media issues are not included in this database. Likewise, independent media outlets are not included unless their mission explicitly includes media reform advocacy.

There are currently 168 organizations in our list.

Looking to get involved?

One of the best ways to get started contributing to the media reform movement is to find an organization to work with and for, which is why we maintain a list of media reform groups. Whether you’re interested in identifying groups working on specific aspects of media reform you care about most, or simply want to find a group in your area, our listings can help you find what you’re looking for.

Submit an Organization

We strive to make this database as comprehensive and as accurate as possible, but omissions are inevitable as new groups form and the reform landscape changes. If you know of an organization that should be included in our reform organizations database, please submit it to us.
