Silenced Mamas

by Marlon Crump/PNN

We’re not just members of the bar
Here in Familawt,
Familawt

We’re connoisseurs of the bizarre!
Best interests of the children is our watchword
We frown upon disparagement and blame
In short there’s simply not, a more congenial spot

For ending your relationship than here in Fam-i-lawt
Familawt.
Familawt…

Predatory Programming on BET and MTV

This study shines a light on the predatory daytime programming of BET and MTV. We commend the Parents Television Council and the Enough Is Enough Campaign for such a comprehensive and much needed study. Viacom and it's shows sponsors continue to be speechless while impacting millions of youth daily with negative images.

Unsafe Radio

It has been a hidden fact that these days, the radio isn’t as safe as it used to be when they were the prime source of news and entertainment. You might be wondering what I’m talking about. Well, recently there have been some cases brought up in the FCC regarding radio alert systems. In one particular case, Action Radio, a radio licensee situated in the Portland area, was being investigated for their violation of the Emergency Alert System requirements.

A True 21st Century Education Looks Like This

"He sees interactive tablet PCs replacing textbooks and notebooks in schools. Students will call up everything they need on their tablet PCs and write everything directly on the screen to be stored there. His daughter’s school, he said, is already using this technology."
